About Groix & Nature
The island of Groix, or Enez Groe in Breton, is located off the south coast of Brittany. Upon arrival, visitors discover Port Tudy, one of the island's five ports—alongside Port Lay, Port St. Nicolas, Port of Locmaria, and Port Melin—which serves as the island's main hub for boat arrivals and departures. Covering 8 km in length and 3 km in width, Groix is the second-largest island in Brittany, boasting stunning natural landscapes that evoke the vastness of the sky and sea. The island's charm lies in its authentic small villages and the breathtaking coastal beauty shaped by ocean spray. Groix also has significant geological and culinary heritage, with a rich history tied to the Albacore tuna canneries. At Groix and Nature, there is a strong commitment to preserving and enhancing the local territory and natural environment, reflecting a deep attachment to the island’s resources and history.
