About Red Head Creamery

Redhead Creamery made its first batch of cheese in 2013 and opened its cheese-making facility on Jer-Lindy Farms by the end of 2014. The delicious cheese found in their shop results from years of study, artisan visits, and perseverance. Alise Sjostrom announced at just 16 that she wanted to expand into cheese making, despite her parents’ doubts. Determined to learn, she created a cheese-focused curriculum at the University of Minnesota and trained at the Vermont Institute for Artisan Cheese, earning the nickname “Cheese Alise.” After years of gaining experience in cheese-rich regions like Vermont and Wisconsin, Alise and her husband, Lucas, returned to Minnesota in 2012 to realize their dream. After overcoming numerous obstacles, the first batch of cheddar was produced on Halloween in 2014. Today, Redhead Creamery operates 2-3 days a week, featuring an on-site Cheese Shop and offering tours on weekends to educate visitors about cheese production and food sourcing. Their journey continues, fueled by passion and gratitude for their evolving cheese love story.
