About Cyprus Grove
In the 1970s, with processed foods dominating American tables, Mary Keehn founded Cypress Grove Cheese, driven by a quest for healthy milk for her children. Starting with two goats, she soon began cheesemaking, officially launching Cypress Grove in 1983. Inspired by her studies in France, she created Humboldt Fog, a cheese marked by a signature ash line. As American tastes evolved, Cypress Grove grew, opening its own dairy in 2010 with a commitment to humane practices. Today, Cypress Grove leads American artisan cheesemaking, blending tradition with innovation.
