About Morbier
Morbier is a semi-soft, cow's milk cheese from the Jura region of eastern France. It is easily recognizable due to its distinctive layer of ash running through the middle of the cheese, which is traditionally applied during the cheese-making process. Morbier has a creamy, smooth texture and a mild, slightly tangy flavour with hints of butter, nuts, and fruit. As the cheese matures, the flavour becomes more complex, with a subtle earthy and savoury depth. It is usually aged for about 2 to 3 months and can be enjoyed on its own, as part of a cheese board, or melted into dishes.
