About Cyrus Saffron

Darush Amiri, whose family has cultivated saffron for generations in Mashhad, Iran, carries on the tradition with his wife, Nicole Beretha, in the United States. In 2014, they established Cyrus Saffron, named after their son, and began growing saffron in Central Washington's ideal hot and dry climate. Their high-quality saffron is now featured in renowned establishments around Puget Sound, including The Herb Farm and Pike Place Market, and has expanded to Portland's local markets. Originally launched in 2003 as Persian Saffron Imports, the family business continues to grow nationally, offering saffron through their website and seasonal harvest events, while maintaining their dedication to quality and tradition.
