About Fox Seafood
Fox Seafood Inc., founded by Jim and Lucy Fox in 1980 in Narragansett, Rhode Island, began as a local operation to fillet and smoke fish from nearby docks at Point Judith. Their dedication to quality quickly established the Fox name as a trusted source for fresh and smoked seafood. In 2007, they sold the smoking side of their business to Rhode Island natives John and Hali LaFountain, who continued and perfected the tradition of smoking fish, drawing on their local heritage and strong ties to the fishing industry. With a focus on using time-honoured methods, John and Hali create one-of-a-kind smoked fish products, handled meticulously under Federal Seafood HACCP standards to ensure quality and safety. Their “hot smoked” fish, prepared in small batches, is cooked to an internal temperature of 145°F, resulting in a flaky, flavorful product enjoyed by seafood lovers.
